Colby Covington wants to ‘settle differences in the Octagon’ with ‘legitimate cuck’ Ian Garry

Could “Chaos” face “The Future” ... in the near future? It’s a 170-pound showdown that Covington clearly wants after losing his latest title fight to Leon Edwards.

After dropping a one-sided decision to Leon Edwards at UFC 296 earlier this month (Dec. 16, 2023) in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch highlights), Colby Covington has another potential opponent in his sights: Ian Garry.

Sorry, “Wonderboy.”

Garry is set to fight Geoff Neal at UFC 298, which is scheduled for Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Feb. 17, 2024. Nevertheless, we’re sure a fight with the No. 5-ranked “Chaos” would interest the young fighter (should he get past Neal). And just in case “The Future” need (more) reason(s) to fight, Covington threw some trash talk his way during an appearance with Tucker Carlson.

Shocker!

“There’s one guy that’s a legitimate cuck and I’ve called him out for that,” Covington said. “I just said the truth. I said, ‘That’s disgusting, you’re a cuck and your wife is a vile lady.’ She’s selling books promoting being a ‘WAG,’ being a wife and a girlfriend.

“I’m not going to let the world not notice that,” Covington continued. “I’m going to bring it to the forefront and make sure everyone’s talking about it and make it a joke for you.”

We can’t believe that Covington has gotten this lazy with his villain schtick that he can’t even trash talk Garry’s wife properly. She didn’t write a book on being his wife and a girlfriend to someone else. WAGs is an acronym for, “Wives and Girlfriends” and is the blanket term used by tabloids for the women who sports stars date.

Even Sean Strickland knows that.

Garry’s wife, Layla, did write a satire book on how to become a WAG so women can mooch off their rich husbands. Was it indeed satirical, as she claims? Or, was it the blueprint she used to snag the much younger Garry? That’s the bit, not this “cuck” thing Covington continues to be obsessed with.

Take some lessons, Colby.

It’s not like Covington has ever had an issue with his trash talk being mostly lies, but this just feels lazy. Regardless, he’s hoping it will bait Garry.

“I think he probably wants to settle the differences in the Octagon,” Covington said. “It just so happens I like to fight in the Octagon, so if it needs to happen one day, I’d be honored to settle that.”

Hook, line and ... sinker?
